Tile Setter Apprenticeship Program

YWCA Toronto Tile Setter Apprenticeship training program is funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Canadian Apprenticeship Strategy – Women in Skilled Trades. Partnering with the Terrazzo, Tile & Marble Trade School Inc. (TTMTS) we bring you a unique apprenticeship training program for women and gender diverse people who wish to become fully certified Red Seal Journeypersons in the Tile Setter trade.

Who is this program for?

  • Women and gender diverse people, 16 years and older
  • Minimum grade 10 education
  • Resident and able to work in Ontario
  • Willing and able to commit to a full 3 to 3.5 years apprenticeship, which includes in-class training and paid on-the-job-training
  • Possess or be eligible to obtain a valid Ontario driver’s license
  • Physically able to work in a variety of construction work environments and on their feet and knees for a considerable length of time
  • Possess appropriate hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity and ability to identify and follow design patterns
